Welcome to Bayou, Welcome Home

Who We Are

We at Bayou care about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Bayou Baptist Church is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.

Our Beliefs

What we believe about Jesus, the Bible, the church, and more.

GOD

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to give us victory of sin and death.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word; it is His revelation of Himself to mankind. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

Salvation

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and the consequence of sin is eternal separation from God in Hell. In order to receive forgiveness and a have a relationship with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and accept His payment on the cross for our sins.

The Church

We believe in the power and significance of the church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together. The church is a visible, local congregation of baptized believers acknowledging Christ as their Head, united in the belief of what He has said and covenanting to what He has instructed.

You

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Bayou Baptist Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Bayou family.

Offering Participation

No. We don't invite you to Bayou Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Bayou Kids

We believe that kids should enjoy church every single week - and at Bayou Kids, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Bayou Kids program the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Bayou Kids experience. Bayou Kids is offered at every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening service for kids ages infant through Grade 6. Nursery care is provided for all Bayou services.
